hello all, i need help. I have an 83 rockwood tent trailer. I can lift up the top with no problem but it wont stay up unless i hook up a bungee cord to the crank so it dont turn. I opened up the crank assembly and found 2 sprockets, 1 with a chain around it to lift the front of the top, the other is for the brake. the brake sprocket spins freely on the shaft. the brake assembly seems like it works but the sproket just spins freely on the crankshaft. theres no set screw to screw this sprocket down. please help

Look very closely at the hub to see if there is/was a roll/shear pin that may have broken.

You can probably replace the sprocket assembly -- my husband had to do that on our first PU. If you call the manufacturer, they can tell you the part number so you can order it from them or from a local dealer.
