Found some ice crushers (makes slivers, etc.) on the internet, but local Target doesn't carry any.

Know that there was a blender once which advertized that it would crush ice cubes. We would like to be able to have those icy drinks which require crushed ice. Any suggestions for a home appliance?

We travel with a KitchenAid blender that is great for crushing ice. It is a kitchen item we want anyway. The ice crusher is nice, but you can only use it for ice.

Waring blender. It is a little expensive but you will probably have it forever. Bartenders use them and they are used a lot on the cooking channel. It will definitely make a slushy plus other things in one unit. Terry R

I have a Margaritaville machine.

I put ice in the top compartment, liquids of my choice in the blender and push one button. 10 seconds latter I have a frosty slush drink.

For Labor Day weekend we did a family reunion camping. We were the only ones with a TT. Everyone else had tents. They were impressed with the Margarita machine.

There is a rumor that it also makes non-alcoholic drinks but I have not tried that feature yet.

are you anywhere near Atlanta? Stop by, I will give you a 70's model Osterizer with lots of attachments, including the meat grinder.

Thank you for the suggestions. Went shopping today and found a KitchenAide blender (polycarbonate pitcher) with an ice crusher option. Without your suggestions I would not have looked at blenders.
