Really takes the sportsmanship out of fishing, doesn't it!

My Dad told me when he was a kid in Texas, they would toss into the water a 1/4 stick of dynamite to catch stunned fish floating to the surface.

There are however a lot of places where such a manner of fishing is illegal, especially in bodys of water stocked by State agencies...and you will find the Game Warden doesn’t think it is a funny idea. You may lose your toy boat, fishing license and a chunk of cash! And the fine fluctuates depending on the Judge's fishing ability! Private lakes would vary, mostly depending on where their fish are stocked from.
But have fun!

I had that same image in my mind when I clicked the link and saw what it was.

The boat is cute for a gold fish pond. Beyond that, it's going down.

Kid: "I caught a fish with the boat"
Parent: "Really? Are you sure?"
Kid: "Yea really. The boat went under all of a sudden and didn't come back up."
Parent: "So what are you going to do now?"
Kid: "Uh. Uh. Can I borrow the 30.06 for a minute?"

I fail to see much connection between the fishing boat and a stick of dynamite, which I am sure is illegal in all waters in all states. They now have a semi silly spring loaded fishing rod thingy which shoots your lure out. there are also fishing lures that are self propelled.
I would think that any game warden seeing this boat would laugh so hard he would wet himself and for get to give a ticket.

It's for catching fish up to 2 pounds. What if you catch a 6 pounder? Will the boat release the line? Will the fish swim around with the hook, line and boat for the rest of its days?

There's $50 waiting to be salvaged off the bottom of the lake.

Nevertheless, I've always wanted an RC boat. Possibly catching supper at the same time? Who can argue with that.

+1

I got pulled off the dock one afternoon when one grabbed the hook...then he came after me. I named him Jaws. (Aggressive little bugger. No bait required, just the hook or a finger dangling in the water)
