"Best" toy hauler is probably the custom ones built by Teton, Saw one at the factory, "wow" is the first thing that came to my mind. Teton quality throughout. Bit big and heavy, but that is what happens to get the best. Looked like a Wrangler would fit perfect in tht garage.

We like ours, then again it was "best" for us. Short garage, bunk in the living room, U-shaped dinette, bedroom slide were things we liked.

The 5.5kW genny and the icemaker are just great luxuries in my opinion.

Not enough time or miles on it to know... but so far it looks like Heartland is doing OK by us.

New Horizon's make an excellant unit with some standard floorplans or to your custom spec's. Newmar, Exaire is another fine toyhauler with, I believe, at least 6 different floorplans and plenty of amenities. I prefer these for their in-house frame building instead of the standard 'lowest bidder' (notice how I avoided the Lippert controversy) framing used as the norm with a number of toy hauler mfg's. you do not want frame problems, and they will happen easier/quicker with minimum spec'd frame in a toy hauler!

The one that works best for you lol. They all will have some kind of little problems.I have had 0 problems with my gear box and I really like the layout.Depends if you want to pay as much as a small home would cost with about a 40% percent depreciation.I'm all about slightly used on these TH.

We are now full-timing in an Excel Wild Cargo. You can check them out at http://www.excelrvs.com/wildcargo.htm. Ours is the TKE39 model and the layout works very well for us. The 10 cu. ft. fridge is a good size for full timing and the -10 degrees F rating means that the box is well insulated. Take a look and see if an Excel would work for you. Also, feel free to drop in on the Excel Owners Forum at http://tinyurl.com/6oeg4y to ask questions and research owner experiences.

Cheers,

The 'best' 5th wheel toy hauler is-

-the one that works for you and your family

-the one that doesn't fall apart on you

-the one that doesn't cause you to go broke paying for it

-the one that your truck can safely and comfortably tow
