You should be able to go the 790 miles in your Phaeton without getting fuel. The last time this happened you had to go 3/4 mile from the exit to find fuel.

I would stop every 100 miles and top off as I approached the storm area. JMO

I am in East Texas, storm came through, debris on the road, but we are in good shape as far as fuel goes. We are about 120 miles East of Dallas / Fort Worth. Enjoy the ride, come back anytime!

Ike is north of I-40 now, north central Arkansas on his way to southeastern Missouri, and southern Illinois, still drying out from the Spring rains.
