probably depends on the size of the fiver and the boat.

We pull a 31 ft fiver and load it with only the essentials.

We aren't over our towing capacity for the truck, but probably
over the weight we should be putting on our axles - but not by much!

The motor and transmission is what really matters and you didn't tell us what the truck has.

If you intend to double pull, make sure you check with the states you plan to travel through. Many states don't allow that in their state.

I don't know if you got "enough" truck to tow BOTH a small 5er AND a boat...guess it depends on how much the 5er weighs and what size and weight the boat is. I know there are people on this forum who tow 5er's and have a "toad" or a boat connected to back of their 5er, but I don't know if I've seen a 3/4 ton truck doing this. May need to know more about the boat. You'll get more input on this, THAT I can guarentee.

If you want to stay within factory towing limits, your 3/4 ton truck will probably be over one limit or another (Maximum trailer weight, GCWR, GAWR, etc.) with a heavy fiver and a good-sized fiberglass boat. Keep in mind also that the boat trailer likely has no brakes. GM, Ford, and Chrysler (Dodge) all print trailer towing guides that you can pick up at a dealership, which list the various towing capacities and equipment needed for towing, and some of this information is usually in your owner's manual and on your driver's door sticker.

You will need to post specifically the amount of pin (fifth wheel) and trailer weight, the weight of the boat and boat trailer, and the year your truck is, what engine and axle ratio it is equipped with, and whether or not it has the factory HD towing option in order for forum members to estimate whether your truck may be suitable for the job. Generally speaking, you probably are going to need a diesel dual-wheel one-ton truck to tow both trailers full-time and enjoy your travels, much of which will depend on the pin weight of the fifth wheel. If you buy a new fifth wheel, it is also advisable to contact the manufacturer and find out if they will honor the frame warranty if a boat of the weight you have in mind is towed on a rear hitch on that trailer. Some won't. If you are buying used, any problem that occurs will be your problem, regardless.

Congrats on your new purchase! Stay within the limits of your truck ratings and you'll be fine. Remember, to add weight for your personal affects you put IN the RV and Boat when considering how much weight you are pulling.

Before anyone can say anything people would need to know the engine, transmission and 2WD/4WD option. Before knowing that it's all speculation.
