I'm plugged into 50 amps, have 129 volts, an EMS surge protector. I have turned off most everything and am drawing 2 amps one line, 4 on the other. If I turn on the A/C or the hot water, the electricity shuts off. There is no error message on the EMS and no tripped circuit breaker. In a couple of minutes the power comes back on.
When this has happened a couple other times, once the electricity came on, it stayed on. Today it shuts down repeatedly.
If there is power at the pole and no tripped circuit, can someone tell me what the problem might be? If it matters, the EMS is plugged into an autoformer.
If I've omitted pertinent info, please ask.
Thanks
Anita

I would try removing the autoformer.

What voltage level it it suppose to shut down at? 130?
Load could change next door increasing your voltage to go over shutdown level.

I am assumming you mean you are turning on the electric hot water, not propane. Just a possibility, you may have a intermittent neutral.
From the VIPRV EMS documentation.
Note: An open neutral will cause there to be no reading on the display
Open Neutral Protection: If the source power has an open neutral condition the display will not light, and will not allow power to the RV.
EDIT
From the Hughes Autoformers website
"With an operation range of 95 to 130 volts input."
It doe not say what happens when the opperational voltage of 130 volts is exceeded.
I hope this helps.

I second the above suggestion then measure the voltage at the plugin.

I took the autoformer off and everything is running. Now can you explain why this is?
If there is an intermittent neutral, the EMS doesn't show an error. So by the time I get outside, EMS display is back on and I have no way of knowing? What causes an 'open neutral'? I have the manual, but these terms are greek to me.
People had just moved in and hooked up in the next site.
I really appreciate the replies!!

Could be your CG box is not wired to code, Could be a bad autoformer. Measure the voltage. Should be between 110 and 130vac. My first guess it is the CG wiring. With a meter see if you have the correct voltage. Starting with the top pin on the post receiptal(round) Go clockwise on the post read the 3 and 9 o'clock positions, You should have 240vac, 3to6 then 9to6 should give you 120vac each. If these readings are correct, I would have a strong suspicion that that it is the Autoformer

I believe the Hughes Autoformer boosts 2% all the time and 10% when needed. At 129 volts you are about at the point of over voltage and the EMS may cut power. I would tend to not use the autoformer unless utility power gets in the 110/115 range. Autoformer may also be stuck in boost mode. My Frank's booster seems to hang in the 127/129 too long IMO before the boost is switched off.
What is the voltage now without the booster?

I thought the EMS was suppose to indicate any problems with the CG box? So, I haven't been checking with the multimeter. I just now went out and checked the plug on the CG box - it read 250 volts or did I not know what I was doing? I put the test leads into the two side openings (forgive the lack of correct terms)

Check a receptacle in the MH see what voltage you have now. If it is over 125vac go to the office and report your problem
