I had my TT parked in my community for about 2 hours loading up for a big trip and a guy who didn't even live there stopped to complain because he was concerned about the school traffic not being able to get by. He got real snippy when I told him I wouldn't be here long, just getting ready to leave but he kept giving me a hard time. I asked him if he had a gun and he said no. I then asked him if he thought an RV owner taking his family out of state would have a gun in his RV. The guy left.

I LOVE IT

My neighbor complained about my 20 ft. TT. So I moved it to my FIL's house and parked his 30 ft. class A in its spot for a week. When I switched back, no more complaints.

Boy do I have a good one, just moved into the area about three years ago and we had a 29' TT well I had just enough room to squeeze it down the side of the house. Well it had been parked there for a few days while I was working on it to sell. Then one of the nice neighbors had called the city and who shows up but code enforcement. They measured from the curb line to the tongue of the trailer not the body but the tongue, it measured 11'11 inches, he wrote me a ticket for $150 because it needed to be 12', one stinking inches and he wouldn't let me slide. He told me that he would give me 24 hours to move it or he would turn in the ticket. Needless to say no longer live there and have almost 70 feet RV storage at the new house + a swimming pool and neighbors that don't give a crap, in fact have trailers parked on the street in front of quite a few houses.

I'm glad we don't have trailers parked in front, next to or on top of houses in my neighborhood. "The Woodlands" is a beautiful community and that is why so many people want to live here. To each is own I guess.

We just had our power and water restored last night, boy was it great to have the water on full time again. I too have some added hours on the genny after that storm.

As you will see in my signature my TH stays in the driveway when not at the lake. Neighbors called the city but city told them as long as it is all on my property then nothing they could do. Yet same neighbors all have driveways and garages but still park all their cars on street. Good thing I am not a jerk like they are. What can you do. There will always be more horses asses in the world than horses. LOL!

Well. . . guess I may as well chime-in.

Bringing your trailer home for a couple days to pack for a trip, do maint., etc. shouldn't be an issue with anyone unless you are in a gated community. . .in that case, you probably can't bring it home anyways!

On the other side of things, I don't agree that you should be able to store your trailer, boat, etc. on your own property in a subdivision, unless it is behind your fence or in your garage. Even if you have nice stuff it still looks like crap. I'm sure there are planty that store their toys at home but, that doesn't change the facts, it looks like crap! That being said, I wouldn't be too happy if my neighbor parked his trailer on the side of his house for me to see when I'm in my backyard. BUT. . . you can't control everything. Good reason to have less room between homes. Then they can't get it in there!

It also is crazy to me how many 3 and even 4 car garages have 3+ cars in the driveway and in the street. I think it just goes to show how much******most of us have!

It is also crazy that city governments allow builders to build homes (especially large ones) with 2-car garages that are less than 21' deep. Homes that are 3,000 sq/ft with small 2-car garages are destined to be dumps. You end up with all kinds of cars on the street and in the driveway and agree with me or not, it looks like crap.

If you have property (live in the country), everyone expects it. . . and I would too if I was your neighbor.

A tolerant neighbor is a good neighbor.

As you can see in my pic I got to much in my driveway. When boating season is over (soon), I put the boat behind the fence. The toy hauler fits back thier too, but its tight.
I don't have any complaints.
