Hope you have time to take an early morning drive around Cades Cove. Maybe take the hike to Abrams Fall. The trailhead is about half way around the loop. Then too, a drive around the Roaring Fork Motor Trail with a side hike to Rainbow Falls or Grotto Falls would be nice.
We don't camp in the area, so can't help there.
Be sure to go to Calhouns for the ribs. Second only to Calhouns on the River in Knoxville.

Twin Creek in GB is great. The rest are pretty much standard fare, but I liked TC. The aquarium is a must see, make sure to walk GB, while touristy it has a lot to offer if you look. Park by the Ripleys museum at the candy kitchen, that's pretty central. Ober Gatlinberg is a must see also.
Cades cove by Townsend. One of my favorite places.
I don't get lost, I investigate alternative destinations.
See a guy in the campground with a telescope, that may be me.

Another vote for Twin Creek - we were there in July and loved it!
And another vote for Cades Cove, but go early in the morning - you'll get to see more wildlife. Pack a lunch and pleanty to drink - it'll be a long day. We saw a bunch of deer and even got to see a black bear and 3 cubs. There are 2 days a week (can't remember which) when Cades Cove doesn't open for drinving traffic until later in the morning - so check at the Rannger Station for more info.
For resturants - if you've never done a dinner theater there are tons to choose from. We went to Dixie Stampede and had a great time. One resturant to aviod - I can't recall the name of it, but there is a pancake house just below Twin Creek... it SUCKED!
For attractions, just pick something - Go-Carts, Golfing, Rafting... the list goes on. Oh yeah, there some amusement park there that I hear is pretty good.

This is not the typical country music fare expected in the area...but Cirque du Chine at the Smokey Mountain Palace is a great show.

If you don't want to fight traffic getting to your campground then River Plantation is good, if you are coming into Pigeon Forge from that end of town. Have stayed at both Twin Creek and River Plantation and prefer the latter. We spend more of our time in the Pigeon Forge/Sieverville area so RP works well for us. We have a big rig, so RP is much easier to maneuver. Spots are tight at Twin Creek.

We are presently staying at Pine Mountain RV in Pigeon Forge. This is a brand new campground. I think it opened in June. Very nice campground!
