No place is better than Twin Creek in Gatlinburg. Have done the others and would never go anywhere else but Twin Creek.

Pigeon Forge is too crowded and too much traffic aroung the Campgrounds.

I'll Second River Plantation. They have many sites backing up to the Pigeon River and there is no extra charge for the river site. Lot's of room with a nice grassy area between your coach and the river.

Ditto

Ditto again.

We were there in July (wheh - it was hot) and had a camp site along the river in back. Even had shade.

I have nothing to compare it to (in the area), but we were happy with it and the rates where reasonable.

They even had a pavillion where they singers/bands, which was a nice touch. Plenty of room between sites.

We stayed at River Plantation last week with a rally, lots of big coaches., big sites, good power and water pressure. GS price is around $30 at this time. We rode around and looked at other campgrounds while we were there since we have both RPI and PA. Nothing compares this is a nice level campground with free Wi Fi and concrete pads. Only minus is water near front of sites and you have to watch the slides but that is anywhere you go. Location about 4 miles N of Dollywood and Stampede and good location as far as getting around in traffic.

Another vote for River Plantation. Excellent location, very clean, roomy sites. They even have some signature sites (concrete drive-way and patio pads). They also have full hook-ups at every site, most are 50 AMP. We spend a lot of time in this area, and we are familiar with almost all the other campgrounds. We always stay at River Plantation.
