You might want to read the policy again. Some GS policy holders are finding it's NOT unlimited and having to pay extra.
We have Coach Net through FMCA. Can't say anything good or bad about it since I've never had to be towed. Did have a flat once, told them I needed a heavy duty truck tire truck with a compressor and about 75' of hose due to the MH's location. They sent a small car wrecker with no compressor and not even enough hose to reach the tire. But, since we did get the tire aired up it worked out OK.

I dont know any where you would get a coach towed for $100--GS would be a start---Have heard of them towing people twice till they got them to a garage that could do the job

Towing my 40' motorhome 90 miles cost $650 and Coach Net paid the entire bill. A friend had his 38' motorhome towed 150 miles (he was in the boonies) and it cost $950 which CAT paid under warranty.

I had pretty much the same scenerio and coach-net paid the bill.I used them on my family cars and have never had a problem.FWIW, if they do send the wrong tow truck, chances are it's the garage that screwed up the call.I had a driver tell me they will take a chance with whatever is availible.Thats why they bombard you with survey calls after a tow. They really do use the feedback.

flhtci-rider (Montreal):
In Canada you might want to check out becoming a member of the Explorer RV Club and with that you can get the Emergency Roadside Service. Towing is included in fee unlimited miles, just sign the bill and they look after it all. Great Service. www.explorer-rvclub.com (1-800-999-0819) We have been very pleased with the club and the services provided including the ERS. Email me if you wish but I recommend you contact them (Beaverton, ON)

It cost me 350.00 for ten feet, when I sank in the sand in Orlando.

I second the Good Sam ERS. We blew the engine 50 miles South of Fairbanks, Ak. and the resulting tow took 7 hours. The Tow truck had to come from Fairbanks, hookup and then tow us 10 miles further south to turn around. All I had to do was sign the ticket to show the work was done. Well worth the premium.

If your engine has any warranty left, you might be able to get Cummins to pay for the tow.

I have GS road service and I had to be pulled out of the mud twice in the last 2 months. First time they pulled me out, I signed the paperwork and the driver was on his way. Had no idea what it cost. Yesterday I had to have it done again (don't ask)and the driver showed up in a huge truck with 3 rear axles. He charged GS $250.00 to pull me out and $80.00 for mileage since he had to drive 40 miles to get to me. He said GS will pay up to $250.00 (2 hours) and the GS advisor told me they will pay for up to 2 hours ONLY. After that I pay $125.00 an hour. I live in Jacksonville Fl and I think towing costs vary based on where you live.

I have had a different experience with towing. In 2002 (yes I know it was a long time ago) I put a hole in my radiator on my DP on I16. Called Freightliner in Columbia SC. They recommended Campbells towing service (had 12-15 large tow rigs), They drove 50 miles out of Columbia on I16, took an hour to rig and remove drive shaft, towed me 50 miles back to freightliner in Columbia. Total bill for towing was $235.00. I thought the towing fee was more than reasonable.
