This one I know way too much about. I use to manage a Land Rover and Jaguar repair facility (and I will never own one).
Tha land rover is a permanent 4x4 vehicle. You can tow this vehicle if you put the transfer box in neutral. Not the gearshift or anything else. you have to do it from the gearbox/transfer box due to the design of the drivetrain.
PS: if you havent done the head gaskets "yet" be ready for a 2k bill.
I hope your's dosen't have air bags on it cause their a total pita, convert to springs asap, unless your willing to keep spending money and more money.

Yes, I did the head gasket thing too. Don't forget about the ABS system (three amigos), self levelling suspension, stuck in park, sunroofs and alternator. I did them all and it just about killed me. Do not buy a Land Rover unless it is under warranty.
