I am considering having knee replacement surgery this winter while in a Florida campground. I live in NY near Canada so it gets real cold here. Has anyone got any ideas where in Florida would be best ?
I would be glad to hear from you about this.

We full time so anywhere we are is 'home' but we do also winter in FL and DW has had hip replacements, 4 back fusions, wrist and knee surgeries done in FL. The beach ain't an all bad place to recuperate! Have had good luck finding orthopedists in Stuart area, Miami and Naples. FL has a relatively 'mature' population and there are lots of orthopedists there. Make arrangements as early as you can - surgery suites and rooms get r e a l l y busy by January.

There is a hospital in Largo Florida that specializes in a certain kind of Knee replacement. My mom's SO had his done about a year and a half ago. Great facility, less recovery time if you qualify. Search Largo Florida Hospital in Google, should be some info there.
