Komfort 23TS wrote: Is it getting to late to find a RV park in Florida for Jan and Feb 2009? Help! Thank you
Do you play golf? Clerbrook Golf and RV Resort in Clermont is big - they have 1250 sites. I'm sure you can get one for January and February. We used to spend February and March there and then ended up staying on the west coast for the whole winter. Obviously, you can go there even if you don't play golf
I suggest, if you call them, that you ask about a site in Crossroads. The cg is divided into Lifestyles, Verandah, and Crossroads. Lifestyles is mainly park models, Verandah most of the seasonal sites, and Crossroads more "transient" but with the friendliest people - imho. Each section has its own pool and laundry and clubhouse. You can use them all.

First, I think you might find sites easier this year to find than previous years. The local folks here are thinking there will be alot less people down for the winter.
We're in Southeast Florida..just north of the hustle and bustle. Close access to great Indian River fishing and boating, close to the ocean.... pretty small town atmosphere...and a bunch of large seasonal campgrounds.

I must disagree with you. Our park in south Florida is not only booked solid, but we have a very long waiting list and NO cancellations. In past years, we would get a few cancels...but so far this year...nothing. Hope it stays that way.

Agree with ginabas. Tried to make reservations last February for the Red Coconut in Fort Myers Beach for Jan/Feb/March and they could only give us until Feb 23rd. Have contacted them 3 times recently and no cancellations. They are booked solid and it is a very expensive park.

Sorta fond of the area myself, guess we are coming back to Panama City for January again and maybe Feb. Split between there and Gulf Shores last year. Going to try Emerald Coast RV for January and may extend that for Feb. Did the 14 day thing last year at St. Andrews and tho its a great place , just like to have the full hook-ups for that amount of time.
Try Topsail Hill SP (FHU)and Henderson Beach SP. Come on over to the Jax/St Augustine/Fernandina Bch area. Maybe the ONF for a while.

Lake San Marino Resort in Naples, Fl have recently sent me emails with fantastic deals for smaller RV's. Lake San Marino Resort is part of Sun Communities, Inc.
It's a fairly nice park. Yes, they do have very good deals for class C's during their season. However.....when making a reservation at this park, make sure that you are not near the cement factory (in the back of the park) It runs 24/7.....ALL NIGHT LONG !!! and is LOUD!!
Thank you ginabas,
I called Lake San Marino this morning and spoke to the manager, Susan Jackson. She said that the cement plant is in the process of closing down, so there is "no noise anymore". If there is, I won't be there 10 minutes.
