We lock the doors and leave everything outside for them to take - that way, they don't damage the RV!

Depends on the rv park. If it looks kinda "seedy"....I lock. If it's a nice place....I don't. If leaving for a long period, then yes. Just out for a meal..no.

I've never locked my car either...in fact I leave my keys on the driver side floor. If anyone wants my car, they would find a way to break in. I've never encountered a problem, or anything stolen.

Yes, we lock up when we leave ...

True, it will not keep someone out who REALLY wants in, but IMO most thefts are "crimes of opportunity" ... and locking the door eliminates a lot of the opportunity. While you can't always impact a criminal's desire or ability to commit a crime, you can often prevent an opportunity.

We always lock...even to hop down the embankment to the lake to fish. I'm usually a pretty trustful person, but it only takes one dishonest person to clean out your RV and make for a very miseable camping trip.

Yes, we lock up. It drives my husband nuts, but I feel better when we lock up. One thing that many don't think about -- when you go to a rally and have a Saturday pot luck -- many in the campground realize that you're a "group" and when ALL of you are away at dinner, well, it's like open season! Oh yes, we lock up when we go to the potluck, too.

All a lock does is keep an HONEST MAN HONEST. It will not stop a thief. But heck yes, I lock mine when I go to the laundry room. I want to help keep honest people honest.
