The playoffs look a lot more exciting to me this year (even though the Rangers aren't in it). . . I'm hoping the Tigers finish off the White Sox and give the Central to the Twins.

I listened but could hear no violin playing for the New York fans. They'll have their billion-dollar stadiums to console them next season.

I like to see the small-market, lower-budget teams succeed, although I think the Angels will be hard to beat.

Hmmm. Guess this place is all SEC football and NASCAR? J/K.

I love the last couple of weeks of the baseball season. . . and the playoffs. I just wish my team participated more frequently.

hahaha.

Well, the White Sox pulled it off with some drama. I guess we'll find out tomorrow how much magic dust they have left.

I can't root for Ozzie Guillen. Go Twins.

Lots of drama in the game today.

Start out with Freddy Garcia pitching for Tigers. Related to Ozzie Guillen through marriage. Supposedly washed up, hurt, given up on by several teams.

He did a fine job through six innings. Basically went as far as he could, since he has not pitched much, and shoulder not fully up to strength yet.

Then the Tigers relief corp blew the game. A grooved fastball to the biggest free swinger around, and he grand slams it to blow the game open. One wasted pitch, out of the strike zone, and it could have stayed the great game it had been to that point.

Oh well, tonight with the Twinkies could be interesting.

All it all, it should be a fun post-season for baseball.
