Here's one of my favorite pics from our tent camping days...this was at West Point Lake GA in Apr 2004. We've since gone to a popup and now 5'er. My son and I still tent camp with scouts.

Here's a sunset shot over the lake my daughter snapped.

Here are a few pics of our campsite at the Kern River this September. I wish we had taken more while our camp was set up. When the boys were exploring by the river we heard "SNAKE" and thought the worst. We ran down and found a (garter?)snake swimming by the shore and grabbed it for a couple minutes. The boys love camping anywhere, but I make it a point to take them back to the same places Dad took me when I was young (he knew all the great spots). This trip was Limestone campground with the famous "Aligator Rock".

It gets hot here in the summer, but is great spring / fall temperatures. If you come in the summer, stay cool in the river or visit the slides just above Johnsondale. I remember when Dad took us here in the late 70's early 80's. You could drive to the slides then, and I remember a couple of Volkswagon Vans, and a lot of naked hippies running around on the slides. Things have changed a little bit!

This one is Shiloh National Military Park in Shiloh Tn.
This tent was great until the first rain and I thought
I would drown in it. Needless to say it went back.

This picutre is at Chichamauga Battlefield in Ga. Again on a Boy Scout trip. This is my Coleman Exponet backpacking tent. I love it!

Yes that is my beautiful gold F150 with the dark red camper shell in the background. What can I say, I bought the shell off ebay and just have not had the time or money to get it painted. Everyone makes fun of it and me, but I don't care. All the kids come to me to haul their gear so it will stay dry. So laugh all they want they still love Mr D's truck and topper....
