I have a TT with a ladder on the back and I see ladders and various ladder extensions for RVs listed in all the parts catalogs but no where have I ever seen a weight limit listed. I am a big, 285 lbs, person and don't relish the thought of finding out, while in the hospital, that the max limit is 225 lbs. Does anyone have any information or know where to find it.

I judged mine by stepping on it and watching the flex. Then I bought a 20 ft ladder and a lad-lock. Works well.

Varies from rig to rig but the one they put on 300 pound me's rig I'd not trust over 150 pounds.
I took it off, put on a pair of "J" hooks and a shower grab bar (the "J"s are at the top and the grab bar where I can grab it standing on the ground) and hand a standard "Convertable" (Extension/Step) ladder from the hooks, A bicycle lock holds it to the shower bar and bungee cords keep it from coming off if it should bounce (though the bicycle lock may be short enough to hold it on)
Works great and holds my 300 pounds no problem.

Mine has a label either under one of the rungs or on the side rail that states load capacity of 300#. It's anchored to the RV at 8 places.

Same as my Coachman ladder. I'm 210 lbs and it hold me just fine.

It will differ from manufacture to manufacture. So read your manual. My dealer showed me the difference between some of the different models. Some ladders are not very well secured.
See you on the road!

Many TT ladders are rated 225 - 275 lbs. I worked in the RV service business for a few years, and saw the weight stickers on a number of this type of ladder.

Keep an eye on the condition also. One of my standoffs is cracked which will lower the capacity.

look for the sticker, judge the flex under weight, check all the mounts.
Should be just fine to carry the real ladder that is used to get onto the roof.
