If everyone simply takes care of their own business, just like they seem to be doing, then nobody gets left out, and there's no need to feel sorry for anyone nor need to say hateful things about anyone who is simply taking care of THEIR own business. It's HER business, it's her right to drive it into the ground if she wants. Is it so difficult to see that if Sr had wanted to leave the business to JR he would've spelled it out in his will?
IMO Sr's legacy will live on,....his fans will not forget him. His legacy does not depend on DEI,....heck, he didn't even drive for DEI!
Jr will NEVER have a better chance for putting together a Championship team,....IMO. All he needs to do is make a couple of personnel changes, and learn more about chassis dynamics and how to communicate what the car is doing.

The Army sponsorship advised DEI that they will not return in 2009.

DEI in need of help.

Rusty Wallace has been seen in the DEI garage at the track. Kenny Wallace says where there is smoke there is fire. Wallace back?

I don't think DEI is finished yet.

If Rusty came back at least he would be out of the broadcast booth!

If Rusty Wallace is able to bring a couple of major sponsors, and IF he doesn't get too greedy,....he could probably help DEI remain in a position whereby they could build towards the future. Obviously, the key to DEI's survival is to sell/trade a big portion of their stock to someone with THE NAME, THE HISTORY, and THE KNOWHOW to attract big bucks.
IMO there will be casualties. There will be other teams that will have to drop out. It takes a successful team to attract necessary big bucks, and it takes the big bucks to be successful,.....dilema.
But, we're the lucky ones. We get to watch all the drama on TV, and talk about it here.

I like that idea!!! I get tired of hearing Rusty talk about "well when I won here" or "so and so beat me out of the championship".

Eventhough Sr did not drive for DEI don't you think he would be dissappointed by the direction his company is going in?

Being the competitor that he was, he wouldn't have let DEI slide this far.

When Junior announced that he was leaving DEI, Darrell Waltrip said "Without Junior, DEI will turn into a museum." It looks like he might be right.

Theresa and DEI have become the NASCAR version of Al Davis and the Oakland Raiders. All that remains for both of them is the glory of past triumphs.

It is a race to see which owner can run their organization into the ground faster.

I'd bet it will be Al Davis who goes first--probably because of ill-health.
