Currently access to this park is being hampered by a bridge being out. They have 30 AMP and water hookups in a family campground area as well as some primitive horse camping sites. We have only stayed once in the horse camping area and never in the family campground. Our issue with the horse camping area was that it is in the wide open with no shade whatsoever, although the family campground area looks as though a little more shade is available. The rangers are very helpful at this park so you may want to call the park directly to get some specific site information.

We really enjoyed Wekiwa Springs State Park there are lots of trails. Most sites have good shade, bugs were minimal. I don't think they allow scooters on the trails or dirt roads.
Have a great time camping,
Terry

We were there for several days last March. We loved it. Campsites are well spaced and there are only 20 or 22 anyway. The road into the campground is good gravel road. The power is 30 amp and good and the bathrooms are so clean you could have dinner on the floors. We saw much wildlife. Turkeys and deer are regular campsite visitors. I don't know about travel on the trails-we hiked. If you like to get out among the wildlife in a quiet peaceful place you will love it. If you want any other entertainment besides what the park offers you'll hate it. It is a long way from town!!!

At night it is SO dark it looks like you are in a cave -- the stars are stupendous!
We can't wait to go back. Usually in the late fall or early winter so it
is cooler.
The roads are a packed gravel - but I doubt they will let you ride anything
but a bicycle on them. No hiking trails that I can remember.
Take ALL your food/drinks - store is 25 miles away!
