First I want to thank Danskool for all the ideas. It made the job so very simple. See his post on this thread:
http://www.rv.net/forums/index.cfm/fusea........d/tid/21861548/srt/pa/pging/1/page/1.cfm
The task was to mount a 10' - 4" pvc tube under the trailer. I had plenty of space ahead of the sewer connection. There are flat panels that will make the final attachment very simple.
This is what I started with (and a 10'x4" pvc pipe).

I make my own locknuts with this:

A quick pop with the sledge on the edge will make the hole slightly oval and works great. Check with the bolt - if snug to where you cant thread with your fingers, you're set.
The hangers are from the decking dept at Lowes and are just a 3 sided piece for a 2X4. I modified the galv hanger tabs by removing the 3rd leg and bending the edge away from the pvc to keep the hose clamps from slipping off. I dont need to drill as there is already a hole in 1 leg to attach to the trailer.

I will attach the 2 threaded ends after I verify a length that wont cause any attachment problems. Then with the ends attached, I can drill another hole in the 10' piece to attach the other bolt from the retainer chain. The retainer chain is just in case they fall off or I forget to reattach them.

Total I think was less than $30.00 and should store lots of sewer hose right where I need it when ready to use or put away.

Remember we have to give credit where credit is due. Danskool. See his pictures on the first link at the bottom of the thread.
With my pics, you just have to visualize the 10' piece of PVC between the two ends. Ill post a few more pics when I mount to the trailer.

I made mine out of 5 inch square plastic fence post from Lowes. It is large enough for me to leave fittings on the hose.

That too could be a good idea. How long of piece can you buy? Might be lighter weight too. Do they have some kind of end caps?

I did the exact same thing with a 6" x 8' tube. I store my fold up ladder and wash brush pole. It sits on top of the LP tank the full width of the rig. I secured it with Thomas & Betts "Tyraps" 36"

On my toyhauler, they put in one of those small storage compartments made for sewer hose. Worthless. It won't hold a hose with any fittings. I need to do this mod to mine. Thanks for the info.

I am thinking 7 feet, but will go outside tomorrow when it is light and measure what is installed and the piece left over.

I didn't look into that. Preferring some ventilation, I just cross-drilled and force-fitted a piece of scrap PEX at each end. The access end is cut open on top for a foot or two to allow the flex tube to slide in. It then expands into the very end, which does not have the top cut off, and acts as a retainer. The hose will not jump out unless it is collapsed enough to allow the end to be free of the very end where the top is intact.

I used the 4" post cover and while tight even the following fitting will fit into it ... not the screw fitting, but the one that stays on the sewer hose.

The post covers in the 4" size have caps that I used to seal the ends and the posts covers I got were 8' long and fit a 20' and 10' hose with fittings in one section. Below are some pics of my sewer hose holder.
