Actually I do have some information that may be of help to you. I saw a lady on Fox Financial News talking about her book "Will Work from Home" by Tory Johnson. I downloaded it onto my Kindle (electronic book reader) and found it quite interesting. You can puchase it at any local bookstore or Amazon.com. She is the ABC Financial advisor for Good Morning America (I think) and she and a friend decided to research work from home situations and found that with the new electronic age we live in that there are many jobs available to be done from home...example: Answering the phones and taking orders for 1-800-flowers. When people call to place an order, you take it and forward it on to the necessary people. Many other examples and I bought it because our twin daughters were talking about work from home situations. Also businesses that will let you work from home instead of coming into the office.

The other thing I have is on my other computer that is in the shop but coming out today. I bookmarked the info. and can't remember all it's about but do remember it's for older people and it was featured on one of the morning news programs, so I looked it up and bookmarked it. I'm fortunate that I don't HAVE to work, but ya just never know what the future holds, so for future reference I got the info. As soon as I can I'll send you a link. Hope this helps. Get the book...

I am a CCNE and I run a network consulting business. 90% of my work is done in three places:
1. My office basement
2. My back deck (overlooking acres of oak trees)
3. Where ever my WW trailer is at.

My customers include several small CATV businesses that provide Internet access via cable modems and several small to medium size businesses. I work with them to monitor and secure their networks, and help them in planning and building their infrastructure as their business grows.

Naturally, in order to get into this business, you must be well versed in configuring high end routers and switches on networks that will have thousands of PC connected to it.

One additional note - occasionally I do have to go on site with the customers. For those customers out of state, it is nice to be able to go camping at the same time you are working!

Thanks for the response, I unknowingly didn't want to cause a stir.Just thought someone who did online work could only suggest a site, like they seem to do in other Forums on this site.

Peggy works at home on the computer with a virtual call center. Not telemarketing since we both hate telemarketers. She likes it since it isn't full time, just 29 hours a week. She's retired so she has no desire to work full time.

With the new feedback rules and PayPal hold backs I quit selling there about this time last year. The don't want the little seller and even PowerSellers are getting suspended now.

Go read the e-bay community boards.

Not bad, a couple years ago they were paying CCNA's about 150,000/yr in Portland OR area. Never took the test though to get certified, just like I never took the Civil Engineering board, just didn't need it for what I was doing. You know, easy stuff like setting up SAN's for Freightliner, helping manage US Banks 44,000 node network, stuff like that.

Now I'm setting up and running multiple web sites, selling memberships and digital goods. Can be done anywhere you have a network connection.
