Lucy "fer" (she has earned the tag at the end of her name) has taken to a life of crime. Her downslide to the other side of the law happened gradually over the past few months. I'll share her most recent "inside job". An appliance repairman came to fix our stove. Lucy has perfected her talent of stealing. She first uses her charm and cuteness to disarm her victim. The repairman was so taken with her friendly nature that he couldn't resist giving her lots of attention (which she really used to her advantage). After he began working behind the stove which was partially pulled out from the wall, Lucy kept going back to visit him. I didn't realize after each visit she took something from his tool box. She never let on that she was "borrowing" things. After he left, she started bringing out (one at a time) her new treasures: a pair of work gloves, a phillips head screwdriver, a plastic sleeve/tool cover, a socket wrench adapter, and an order form!!! I called the appliance place, apologized and offered to bring the items in, but they said no big deal. They had a good laugh from it all. Lesson learned on my part: watch that little thief when people come to visit. On the more sobering side, she could have choked on a small part!!!
Any others have a thief in the family???

Must be in the name...when our Lucy misbehaves she has the nickname of
"lucifer" too, we've used it enough she actually responds to it.

Willow gets renamed Wilda Beast when she does her mischief. This morning she has been bringing things up from below the deck. A bamboo plant support!! She brings these long stick in through the dog door by turning her head.

Okay, so what do you call a dog that is now a "kleptomaniac"? Is that a recognized disease that you can get government help to overcome? The questions are endless now. Maybe you can get another one and they can tag-team the next repairmen that comes to visit! You could go into a new sideline business if you played it right. Oh, someone stop me!
