I use a plastic pop bottle. Fits perfect, and its free. Keeps the inside, and outside of the filler nozzle clean.

Has anyone installed a fuel filter on the fuel pump hose? What did you use?

Say what??? ...anyway thanks for all the replies. The condom looks like a good solution, but it costs a little. The plywood and a soda or water bottle otoh might be a good starting point.
I'll get pics of the new rig up soon

I use a fuel/water separator I picked up at West Marine:
http://www.westmarine.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/producte/10001/-1/10001/221724/377%20710%201685/712/fuel%20filter/Primary%20Search/mode%20matchallpartial/0/0?N=377%20710%201685&Ne=712&Ntt=fuel%20filter&Ntk=Primary%20Search&Ntx=mode%20matchallpartial&Nao=0&Ns=0&keyword=fuel%20filter&isLTokenURL=true&storeNum=6&subdeptNum=68&classNum=219

Installed it in place of the little in-line filter that came installed from the factory after my buddy found a ton of water in his tank after a rain storm. Seems his cap didn't seat right.
