I always wonder how folks "know" the cat is happy riding in the trailer, since they are up front in the truck....could be the cat howls and cries and paces around til she wears herself out and then collapses and sleeps..I also wonder why some folks choose to let the dogs ride with the people, and not the cat. And to echo others here, I have seen wrecked rvs on the road, and I would not like one of my loved ones to be inside one, or worse, ejected out of one onto the road. My cats ride in a crate that is belted down, with me in the cab..

Before our cat had to be out down we took her and the dogs with us all the time. We used to put her kennel in the back seat on top of the smaller dog crate. We found that when she got too warm she would howl. We then put her crate beside the bed in the fiver and removed the door. Once she heard the landing Jack motor she would get in her crate ready to travel. It was really amusing to look when we stopped to see her crossed paws sticking out the opening of the crate. when we told her it was OK to come out she would bound down from the bedroom to greet the dogs. I don,t know if she stayed there the whole time but she was there when we started out and there when we stopped. Also didn't have to listen to the howling complaints if there were any.
