Pulled into Woodhead Park down on the Snake River last week. Sitting at the dump station exiting the park was a new Tundra. It wasn't the big cab but still some sort of quad cab with the longer box.
Attached to it was about a 22' Komfort 5'er and behind that about an 18' speed boat with a 90 HP outboard!!!
I did stop and talk to him because of all the discussion on here about Tundras and 5'ers.
OK, he was probably over his GVCWR but I didn't ask him about that. Just how it handled. He grinned and said "just fine". " A little slow on the hills (we have STEEP hills ).
I can't beleive I forgot my camera. Now no ne will belive me!!!

I recently saw a Tundra in Corbin KY at the Pilot station pulling a 35ft 5er. The truck was sitting on its frame and didn't look safe at all. We waited about 20 minutes to give them time to get away from us....didn't want to be around them on the highway.

I also didn't have a camera the other day. I was coming on to Andrews AirForce base on Tues and saw a Tundra CrewMax pulling a 28-32' (range) Bighorn. It was saggin so bad I know it had to be on the jounce bumpers. With that bed being so small, it looked as if the hitch wasn't even over the rear axle.

I have also seen this Tundra phenomenon. Saw one here towing about a 30-32 KZ Sportster Toy Hauler 5th Wheel. The truck must have had airbags, because it was not squatting too bad. The tires looked loaded down though.
Maybe the weight police are giving the Tundra half ton a free pass because it is a Toyota?
As we all know, Ford and Chevrolet's fall apart once you take them off the dealers lot, so only the Tundra can tow large travel trailers and 5th wheels safely.

Hey, when Toyota wanted to grab a larger chunk of truck buyers....do you think they had an IQ minimum before allowing the customer to sign on the dotted line? Come on now!
I actually haven't seen a poor 2nd-gen Tundra setup yet. Most Tundras in my area are really "pretty" trucks....you know even if they have offroad tires/wheels, there's a quart of tire-shine on them.
I've seen a few sketchy 1st gen Tundra setups though.

Relax guys, the smaller Komfort 5er's weigh in around 4100#'s and just a bit over 5000#'s - not much different than a regular TT. They both have cargo capacities of well over 2500#'s with one over 3200#'s. At the size you say, it could only be one of the above two.
That 5'er was probably lighter than my TT i'm pullin' right now with our little 1/2 ton shorty Denali I'm guessing he was well within his limits - only if is the pin weight vs. cargo capacity of the truck itself.
Komfort's are awesome trailers.
