I agree with Capt. I have ran both the ones he mentioned. While the Bilsteins are equal or better running empty the 9000s are better for towing. You can set them firmer when you have the trailer on and softer when empty. Just a pain to crawl under the rig and do it.

I put Bilsteins on my van in the spring and it goes over rough roads much better.

Does the adjustment on the Rancho's increase dampening for both compression and rebound or just compression?

i put the bilsteins 5100 on my truck, couldnt be happier with them. they are smooth unloaded and do well loaded too, but i also have airbags.
