I have found that some times driving a big rig on a two-lane country road, like we were recently in Pennsylvania and West Virginia, it isn't always possible to pull over for several miles to allow folks to pass. I try to when I can if cars are stacking up, but I certainly am NOT going to jeopardize my family and personal belongings just to hurry so some knucklehead can speed along talking on a cell phone. I feel better now and can't wait to drive the two-lanes of West Virginia this coming Columbus Day weekend! :^)

It is critical for RV owners to understand and appreciate that not all vehicles are on vacation and sightseeing, particularly in rural areas. It is one thing to be driving 10-15 miles under the speed limit, yet add a convoy of 20-50 cars behind you who are trying to get to a meeting, work, a child's sporting event, a school activity, or responding to a personal emergency. You need to use your mirrors which serve a purpose and PULL OVER when an opportunity presents. It minimizes road rage in car drivers and it is considerate. By pulling over you contribute to the safety of ALL drivers. Not everyone is retired or on vacation. PLEASE, pass the word and be more considerate of all drivers. Thank you. Margo

FIRST POST AND IT'S A RANT THREAD. AND I'M SURE YOU DON'T EVEN OWN A CAMPER. YOU JUST HAD TO COME IN HERE AND ***** AND RANT. GET A LIFE! GET OFF YOUR DAMN CELL PHONE, PUT DOWN YOUR MAKEUP, AND LEAVE EARLIER FOR WORK. I'VE SEEN "YOUR KIND" A LOT ON THE ROADS. NO ONE IS FAST ENOUGH FOR YOU!

IT'S PEOPLE LIKE YOU THAT STEAM MY CLAMS. THEY THINK THAT THEY COULD JUST JOIN A FORUM AND BLAST EVERYONE OUT FOR THE WAY THEY DRIVE THIER CAMPERS BECAUSE THEY DON'T LIKE BEING STUCK BEHIND ONE. TOO BAD ISN'T IT.

YOU'RE PROBABLY ONE OF THOSE PEOPLE THAT CALL IN THE NUMBER ON THE BACK OF TRUCKS THAT SAY "HOWS MY DRIVING CALL 1- 800". YOU EAT THE LAST COOKIE IN THE COOKIE JAR. HOW DARE YOU COME IN HERE AND THINK YOU CAN JUST SPOUT OFF TO EVERYONE IN HERE ABOUT THE WAY "RVERS" DRIVE!! GO TROLL SOMEWHERE ELSE.

If you follow so close that I can't see you in my mirrors, how am I supposed to know you are back there?
Remember, if you can't see my mirrors, I can't see YOU!
THE LAW here says ANY vehicle (even YOURS!) that has 5 or more vehicles behind it MUST pull over WHERE IT IS SAFE TO DO SO, and let the "trapped" vehicles go by! NOTE: Those 5 vehicles do NOT include my toad!
If there is no SAFE place to get off the road, there is no requirement to compromise the safety of anybody.
The OP's rant is perhaps justified, BUT the drivers of all those little 4 wheeled pregnant roller skates have responsibilities, too. One really should endeavor to be certain all her own web footed waterfowl are in perfect linear alignment before yelling at others.

Welcome to the forum where we can discuss almost anything and be friendly and get along with each other. Please notice that I said some nice things before I started with my rant. Please do not start out being negative. At least say something nice before you start telling us how to drive or how to do anything else. Now I'll close with a nice word. Congradulations on posting your first blog on out friendly homey forum.

Welcome to the board, Margo, and thanks for the reminder.

I'm sorry you were blasted for your first post. I agree with it 100%.

It appears some on here thought you were pointing your finger directly at them. Hmmmmmmmmmm.....

Hey, I'll top that gripe.

If you have a long MH and want to stop at a farm stand but the MH won't fit, please don't just leave it in the highway with the flashers going.

Particularly on a curve where there isn't enough sight distance to be safely passed.

Your very first post on this forum is a lecture, and then when it is not received warmly, you whine about being lectured.

Hopefully, this is not the place for you. We already have enough pompous,self-rightous, mentors on this forum.

Now then, if you would like to leave, spin around 360 degrees and come back in, acting the way you would like to be treated, welcome.

The person who started the thread with a lecture didn't come back. They posted their initial one comment. I'm wondering who you are referring to and who it is you decided to sling, not so great, names at?

I pay my road taxes, leave earlier, and go around. Like someone is going to tell me what I have to do on my vacation. Hey, but welcome to the forum.
