I have a neighbor camper that just pulled up with a 6mo old Dometic 2602/2802 Refrigerator in a 20 year old Airstream. The fridge has flat stopped working both on Gas and AC. There is +12 going into the unit, but that's where my expertise on this model stops. Any ideas out there?

If nothing else he's down the road from several RV service facilities, but nothing on a Sunday.

Thanks, Jeff

Blown fuse on circuit board.
Loose connector on circuit board.
Loose connector on control panel cable.
Are the lights on the display lit?

Going after the fuse now, he just found an owners (not service) manual. Stand-by..

Have him call Dometic, a 6 month old unit should be under warrentee and they will either help him troubleshoot it or refer him to a shop that will take care of the problem.

I think he may have a board issue. Both fuses are good and the spark relay fires at about 1sec intervals, but nothing else. The LEDs on the front panel are flashing in unison with the spark relay: On, the selected cold setting, and occasionally the system check LED will get into the mix.

The RV guy in Venture has a 911 number so I think he's calling now..

If the Airstream still has its original converter, have him make certain the battery is good. The old Univolt converters put out *very* bad 12 volt power if a battery isn't in and OK.

I looked at the battery and it was up around 12.6, fuses good, etc. He was waiting for Bill's RV Service out of Ventura when we left this morning.
