I have a Prodigy controller installed in my Silverado, and tow a HitchHiker FW. The controller has worked for 2 years, but now I am getting an intermittant OL indicator on the controller. When applying the brakes, the controller will start to work, then OL flashes, and then controller works again. Sometimes OL stays on when braking, and brakes don't work, other times every thing is normal. The instruction manual doesn't give any suggestions as as to what to look for. I have swapped the controller with another Prodigy, but get the same results. Any help will be appreciated. Ron

Ron,
You may have a bad wire to one of your brakes on the coach. I had this same thing happen to and replaced the controler-checked all the wire conections-than finally we removed the wheel and found a bad wire. Problem solved and works great now.

Sounds like the Prodigy is warning you. However, the very first edition Prodigy's would send an error message due to Dodge air grid heater cycling.

Start looking at the trailer from the 7-pin plug all the way back to each wheel. This sounds like you have a wire, somewhere, that has rubbed through the insulation and it is grounding out.
RV's are notorious for cheap wiring. Usually, they will run a single, 14ga + and - wire to one wheel, then daisy-chain from there to each of the other 3 wheels.
I was getting the same errors at one time. I finally solved it by installing buss bars for both + and -, and running individual lines to each wheel. I also replaced the 7-pin plug to ensure that all contacts were good there. Then I removed each brake drum to inspect, clean, and adjust all four of them. After all of that, my OL errors finally went away!
I know that's a bunch of work, but the last thing you need is failing brakes.

This happened to me and it ended up being a bad magnet, spent 4 hrs at the dealer trouble shooting. Its either a magnet or a rubbed through wire. The tech just kept disconnecting feed wires to each brake until the "ol" code didnt come up. We found it but it took some time.

Part of my efforts included cleaning and lightly sanding (220 grit) the magnet mating surface of the drum. I also lightly sanded the magnets themselves to knock down some of the high spots. The other thing I found, when adjusting the brakes, was that the shoes were setting WAAAYYY off the drums. I don't really know that this had any effect on the OL message, but I can say that once everything was properly adjusted I found the braking performance was significantly improved.

A quick check of whether it is the vehicle or trailer is put the trailer on another Tow Vehicle and see if the problem goes away.

Had the same problem after about 2 years. My controler also began flashing OL and other messages. I found the same kind of things the guys have already said. The wires inside one wheel had not been secured with the plastic gromment. They worked in to the wheel hub and rubbed through the wire insulation. The RV dealer doing my axle flip had been a little "lax" putting things back together.
