My 08 Copper Canyon Sprinter 32ft 5th wheel has a Dometic awning with A&E hardware, as I have a right side living room slide the front leg of the awning is mounted up on the fifth wheel section of the unit and is shorter than the rear leg, so when the awning is unfurled the front end is a lot lower than the back. The problem I'm running into it that when the awning is rolled up on cooler mornings it does not roll up all the way. I am concerned that it will catch the wind and tear some day when traveling home, someone suggested that it needs to be wound a little tighter, is this possible, and if so how can this be achieved.

any help would be appreciated...............barry95flt

Dometic owns A&E.

Yes, more tension can be put on the roller tube spring. But, be aware that people have been injured by doing it themselves. There's a lot of tension on that spring and if it gets away ....
