Looking to see if any SxS events are planned for N.Cal during the fall/winter months?( Nov-Dec-Jan) I look on-line and find plenty for M/C's and very little for SxS's, Rhinos, Rangers Prowlers etc.

The national forest don't seem to have large enough spots for the 40' behemuth TH I have.

I just moved back here from Az and i know I won't make it into Nevada soon, as I-80 will be a snowy mess soon.

I am also looking for a place to take the 40' toy hauler within 100 miles north or east of Concord for full hook up or dry camping and ride from the campsite with the Arctic cat Prowler.

thanks for any help you can give.

Stonyford or maybe Cisco Grove. I'd be interested in going as well. I've yet to see a planned NorCal SxS event. We should get a rally going. There are alot of us in NorCal.

Lets see if we can generate some interest and find a spot to accomodate large TH's.

Roller are you from P-Hill? I grew up there. My parents live on the border of P-Hill and Lafayette. If you from Pleasant Hill what High school did you go to?

Both Stoneyford (dry camping) and Cisco Grove (full hook-ups) would be cool for 40' TH's.

Dont know how many trails would be accessible for the SxS, but Middle Creek can accommodate a large 5er too. At leats the flats and river bottom woudl be accessible.

I think Carnegie would work also.

Big450, I'm actually born and raised in San Francisco and moved to east co in 84'.
Moved to Phoenix in 05' then back here in 08'. I swore not to move to E/Co with the commute, gas 4$ etc.

Pleasant Hill is great. Wish I would have bought here back in the 80's!

I'm on the south side of the mall near willow Pass rd.( In the Santa area as locals call it))

The problem with Cisco now is snow is right around the corner. Is Stonyford at a low elevation where snow would not be a problem?

I accidently got caught in a snow flurry with a 36' ft 5er w/b on I-80 years ago. had to turn around and go back to Reno.

As I approached the CHP mandatory off ramp/turn around, I hit the brakes and the 5th wheel started pushing my then 97 Dodge 1 ton down the hill, asphalt, sliding and the 5th started to go outbound.....

Luckly, no body was at the bottom of the off ramp as i could not stop and had to coast thru...Whew!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Stoney gets snow on the upper trails but I've been there in December (wife may not go back then, lol). The upper tails will see snow in prob December. Still a trip before Turkey day might be a good idea. I'd like to see a bit of rain before a UTV meet as these things kick up a just bit of dust .
