I'm having a problem when I turn the gas off it stays green will not move to Red...It does the same when a bottle runs out...So I don't know when the bottle I'm using runs out to go switch it over..
I went this weekend after about 4 weeks and it was red...Slowly open the bottle it went green. I turned the bottle off but it stayed green would not go back to red. That was after a 10 min. wait..What is causing it to do this??? It used to not do this

Did you just wait 10 mins, or did you turn on the stove or water heater to bleed off the presure?

Sounds like you have a tight system that does not leak, which is good. After turning off the gas open a burner valve on the stove and let off the gas pressure. It should then turn red.

I had this same problem when doing a dry run on the fridge yesterday in preparation for a dry camping trip. The controller displayed red, so I ran in and turned off the fridge till DH got home. He told me when this happens to point the tank use indicator arrow straight up then back to the tank you want to use (and the one that was registering red). Sure enough that worked. DH is so smart!
