Don't believe that's true. I went a week in 115* heat thinking the same thing. If the DC side is out, my AC side doesn't work either.
Both AC and propane rely on the DC to work.

My AC unit worked just fine. How do I check the DC input to the frig ?

Not your air conditioner, I should have said AC/DC (110). I think only Dometic refrigs are on the recall list. I think it's the thermal fuse or I call it a reset button on the ignitor.

Oh OK AC/DC...sorry...How can I check the thermal fuse. I will go look for a reset
button this week-end on the outside of the unit near the ignitor.
What would trip the thermal fuse or cause it to force a reset ?

Heat.(that's what Ive been told). I'm not sure why mine does it but it only does it while traveling down the road...
