Just curious if anybody out there has bought a '09 1500 yet. I am absolutely drooling over them and was hoping i could live vicariously through someone else.

A flattering writeup. Looks like Dodge has a winner as far as the media is concerned, we will need to see how it sells compared to the competition. Even at that sometimes people don't recognize the better vehicle.

Wow it looks bigger inside than previous 4 door rams. I wonder if the mega cab will be discontinued. I like it, I can't wait for the 1 ton version.

Without the badges , I'd say it looks like a Ford from the rear. This could be the first Dodge truck that has a stylish look to it. Still think the front grille should be smaller though.

After getting burned on a first year model or where the model was radically changed and not just a re-skin, I had nothing but CEL's, and other warranty issues to take care of. Whoever got my car after I traded it in, probably got a very reliabe vehicle, as I ironed-out all the first year bugs, with numerous trips to the dealer.

I really like the 2009 Dodge Ram exterior and interior and it's powertrain offerings.

I just don't want to be the owner of one of the first one's off the assembly line anymore.

I realize that it isn't always the case with first year models or major change years, but my "almost/lemon" had made me skittish. I would go for year number 2 with the new Ram if I was in the market.

Of course if everyone followed my formula Dodge wouldn't sell any 09 Rams.

We had this same thing happen to us when we got our Titan in '04. I've learned my lesson to never buy new again!

Those new Rams do look nice, though!

My local Dodge dealer has a nice red quad cab 09 in stock. I was close by and just for kicks drove onto the lot to get a closer look. Very sharp! Then I put the old 95 in reverse and backed out of there quick before any salesman tried to move in on me.

I agree about waiting as well. I would wait until 2010 or 11 before buying one of these just to make sure the bugs are worked out.
