Has anyone any suggestions on how to install connection to motorhome propane tank on a 2005 Beaver Monterey to operate a bar-b-que

I purchased a brass tee fitting that installed in the main line from the propane tank to the regulator. Then I purchased the hose that screwed onto the tee fitting and also fit the fitting on the BBQ. I believe Camping World carries both.

You need to have a tee fitting and a shut-off valve installed ahead of the rv regulator so you can supply high-pressure gas to the bbq regulator. A propane shop can do that, as well as provide the proper hose and fittings to mate with the bbq. When I had it done the cost was about $60.

You need to find out if you need a regulated or non regualted supply line. Once you determine that you can then go to Camping World for the brass T. After that go to a good propane dealer and get a 20' hose with the correct fittings It will be 1/2 the price of CG. If your Beaver is anything like my Scepter you have a High pressure steel pipe to the passenger side and need to tap there

IMHO, using a portable tank is the better option. That and a Weber Q-100, and you're ready for action.

I use the following adapter from camping world, it allows for low pressure and to attache a 100lb tank for long term. They also make just a 't' to a low pressure

Google the net for "extend-a-stay". That's what you need to connect a grill or aux propane tank to your rig. Click here to see what it looks like.

Scroll down to the top two items

Extend-a-flow is for trailers with removable bottles
Extend-a-stay is for Motor Homes with "Fixed" tanks

Most RV stores including Camping World carry either these products or another manufacturer's equivalent

Careful Here!! You need a 'Tee' fitting, a SHUT-OFF valve and High Pressure Supply Line with BBQ fitting..as web-poster flhtci-rider correctly stated. THAT High Pressure supply hose and fitting to your BBQ (which already has its own cheapo regulator) is best bought down at your local Propane Company. Yes, I know CampingWorld has Extenda-stay fittings etc, but that isn't what you are doing; as you don't want propane going INTO your Motorhome....you want to tap the Motorhome's tank (With a Shut-off Valve Permanently afixed to the Motorhome). Then you can safely use the inside LP stove once you are headed down the road and not have pressure in your new hose. Enjoy. TOM

Extend-a-flow is for connecting your RV tank to an external BBQ.
Extend-a-stay is to connect an external tank to your RV.
