In rememberance of the now famous Spangler Hills So-Cal Rally I'll be returning to the site November 7-8-9th. Most likely take a ride to Randsburg. If I get lucky maybe I'll run into some familier faces, or some new ones. Who knows its about the best spot around for riding.
Anyone else????

Also in rememberance, and since we might see some folks out there, I have designed some t-shirts so that we can all remember that we were there. Maybe even do up some stickers and hoodies if the demand is there. I'll know costs soon. If you would like one or more of these items, let me know

I got good news from my surgeon yesterday (post-op checkup).

His instructions were:
  • Slowly get more active. Add in whatever activities are normal for me (running, swimming, etc.). He recommended golf. I laughed.
  • Don't lift anything over 30 lbs for another five weeks. (No prob, I'll have the kids bring in the groceries.)
  • No sit-ups for at least seven or eight more weeks. (Again, no prob... I've been known to go for years without sit-ups.)
I asked him about desert riding. This was clearly something he'd never thought of. He told me to "wait another few weeks", which puts me in real good shape for a November trip (as long as I don't pick up my own bike if I dump it, since it weighs more than 30 lbs.).

So I'm officially un-cancelling my plans to not skip the non-rally.
