Will have a set soon but saving my$$.Planning on mounting everything under the truck and have a compressor large enough to do tires and such for the TH which is all plummed in with hose and air connections.Lots of empty space under the dually.

Something I've learned with on board air. It really isn't the compressor it's the volume of the tank. I need a bigger tank so I can fill all 4 tires without the comp kicking in again. But, yes the compressor should fill it up quickly. My 05 chevy crew, I have my tank mounted right under the driver door behind the first crossmember. My compressor is mounted in my toolbox.

What kind of compressors are you guys running? I have a 4.5 gallon custom tank but cant find a reasonable (price) compressor that can bring the tank above 110 psi, (im only looking for 120psi) THis is for horns by the way not tires. For my tires I carry a 20lb CO2 tank in the trailer.

This guy was walking in front of a truck with a set of those train horns and he said...

I think the horns shook some teeth loose

I really want to have 150-200 psi to blast some big horns. I am also thinking of mounting under the truck. Maybe a 5 horn system. It would also be cool to be able to fill tires. I too use 20lbs CO2.

I dreamed of having a set of those train horns for years now. But the air tank is probably bigger than my truck! And where on earth (ok, where on the truck), do you mount the horns. I did some surfing on the internet a few months ago. Came across a photo of these mega-beasts mounted on the bumper of a car. Those horns can get pretty long! Still, I'd love to have a set some day!

With the right set up it doesn't really matter where they're mounted as they are so damn loud.

Now a true story...I was on the road one day in city traffic and some jackass in a car cut a guy in a dually off who was in front of me. The dually driver then proceeded to tailgate the guy in the car who didn't like that and slammed on his brakes causing the dually to do the same. Mr. Idiot then let the truck come up along side him so he could flip the dually driver the bird. As all this unfolded the dually driver let loose with his train horns and blasted the guy. It was so loud the driver of the car literally jumped 6 inches out of his seat and swerved into on coming traffic and got nailed head on by a truck going the other way. I laughed out loud to myself (as I drove on by) and thought to myself, I need a set of those!

I got my King Kongs from Siege Engineering on eBay. $300 for entire kit. My buddy and I installed in an afternoon. The tank and compressor mounted up on passenger side frame rails. Triple horns mounted up in the fenders of my duallys bed.

Endless entertainment. License plate reads FRT TRN. Got a ticket for blasting someone in town. Scared the******out the officer. Good times.

Great stuff HAHAHAHAHA

I live up in the mountains and the bicyclists think narrow winding roads with lots of blind corners are very cool places to ride in the middle of the lane , because afterall, they have as much right to the road as cars do. I just need something to give them a friendly little "toot" to let them know I'm behind them
