Is it safe to power wash your hybrid (beds closed) or are you asking to create leaks?

Thanks

Power washing is over rated and can damage many things. Use a little elbow grease instead.

I would hand wash it. I dont have a Hybrid, but I think the pressure is too high, it can peel stickers off. The pressure washer wont even do as good a job as hand washing, it wont remove the road grime that a soapy sponge will.

I don't think I'd try it. I don't have a hybrid either but there are just too many places where water can get in any trailer. Plus I'll bet a power washer would play havoc with all the striping and decals.

Power washing if fine for the scum on the bottom of my boat, but usually removes the bottom paint as well.

We stopped power washing our vehicles in the Army after we discovered we were forcing water into things like the roadwheels and idlers of our tanks and other areas where water is unlikely to go unless under abnormal pressures.

Spray washing does a poor job of washing my car, the brush varieties do a better job.

Soooooooo, I wash my trailer with a long handle, soft brush.

I use a window brush (soft) on a long pole to wash our unit.

SOFT brush and soap in water. A very nice soft bristle brush is available from West Marine and does a great job. Do not use a stiff bristle brush. Any good car wash soap will work fine.

Ditto on the hand washing. It's a lot like washing a building - because it is a building. But not needed all that often in most cases. Think we wash ours about once a month - maybe.

What about rinsing? As long as the pressure is not to close to the unit, would that be ok?

I use a power washer on mine to remove the top layer of grime and bugs. I use a wide pattern and do not get too close to the camper. Then I give it a good scrub with a long handled car washing brush and use the pressure washer to rinse it again. I have never had any problems with leaks or things getting damaged. I must add that mine is only a 1100 psi unit that cost less than $100, not one of those cold/hot water 6000psi gas jobbers that some guys "had to have" and tears everything that he uses it to pieces.
