Cat, you're probably not going to want to try the Nupro if yours is a picky eater. My male won't touch his food with it mixed in - that's why I bought the chewy supplements for him. My female will eat ANYthing though! LOL

Hi Cat,
I know that you are asking about Synovi G3, which I have not used. However, here is my experience with Dasuquin MSM:
I have had Moonbeam (8 yrs) on Dasuquin MSM for two months now. Also, she takes Alaskan Salmon fish oil. I have noticed some improvement with her hind leg and she seems to get her get-a-long going more easily. The first few steps we have some limping, but after that she is just fine. After the first six weeks, I cut her dose and she does not appear to be doing quite as well.
Today, I just raised her dose to one pill a day from 1/2. Mainly because we are going camping and she will be more active. The directions state that that is a good strategy.
I too have the chewable tablets. She won't eat them. So, I am reduced to grinding them into a powder and put it and the fish oil on her food. She loves that!
Hope your babies feel better with the Synovi G3 supplements!

Ten days into this new therapy and I swear I can see a slight difference in Loppy. He seems to be more energetic and does his old "happy dance" like he used to when we come home. He hasn't done that on a regular basis in about a year. He does it every time now even if I have only been gone for a few minutes.
By the way, both dogs love the soft chews! They think they are getting a big time treat when I feed it to them!
I have noticed one thing, it seems that the Synovi G3 makes them just a tiny bit constipated. That is not a bad thing with Petey since his stools are sometimes loose. I just hope it doesn't turn into a problem but it won't be long until I cut the dosage in half and that will likely fix that concern.
My update at this point is so far, so good.

Sadie my 12 year old Collie was having trouble with arthritis. You could her a noise if you lifted her rear leg. She walked slowly and it was hard for her to get up. I decided to try Foster & Smith joint care 3. As far as I'm concerned it's a miricle in a bottle. This was over a year ago, today she was out in the yard playing with my new Collie Mikko. I thought her playing days were long gone. I have even sent a bottle to the people I adopted Andy and Neil from for their old Collie. They seen a difference in a week. I don't mean to sound like a comerciel but when some one you love is hurting you want to help them and this worked very well for me.

After almost three weeks I have noticed a real improvement in both Loppy (11) & Petey (9). Our two Lhasas have more energy, they want to play with their toys more, and they go up & down steps to our upper floor easier. Petey hadn't been upstairs to the gameroom in months and last night he came up there to be with the rest of us while my DH & I were playing pool. The best difference is Loppy's back legs no longer shake on our way home from our evening walks. That tells me that he doesn't have as much weakness in his hindquarters like he had been suffering from, Petey is enjoying our walks more, too.
Overall, I am VERY pleased with this therapy and the product our vet recommended.

Sounds good Cat, it's a relief when a product works this good, it's so hard to see them suffer, I'm really happy for Petey, it sounds like he's enjoying his life more than ever...and that's what it's all about isn't it.

Well, I am VERY impressed with the results of the SynoviG3. I also read many reviews on the net and this product is rated at 5 stars by the pet owners posting.
As I have stated before, we have Moonbeam (8 years with knee problems) on Dasuquin MSM. I recently increased her dose back to the initial suggested dose of one tablet a day for her size. We have seen moderate improvement with this product. She does seem more comfortable with the higher dose, but she has not improved to the extent that all of you have received with the SynoviG3.
Guess what, I am going to order some right now!
Thanks for your posts and I sure hope that Moonbeam will have the same or even similar results.
Thanks again, you are all so very informative!
Sincerely,
Dawn

Dawn, I hope you see improvements in Moonbeam with the Synovi. If you order it online be sure and price shop it. I've seen a big difference in prices when I've looked at various websites. I was lucky enough to be able to buy it locally at a pretty good price = $37.99 for 120. It was on sale, their regular price was $51.99. Not cheap but from what I've seen so far, I will keep them on it.

Hi CatandJim,
Thanks for your reply. I am even more optimistic that SynoviG3 will help Moonbeam now. I received a post from the Cocker forum and the posted stated that her dog has a luxating patella (grade 1) and it has helped her dog in 4 weeks.
I can't find this product in a local pet store as yet, but have found a good price on the Petco internet site. Thanks for the shopping advice and I will look further before jumping in! I am just so anxious to help Moonbeam, especially now that I have some especially great hope.
Thanks again,
Dawn
