Anyone have any ideas on how to unstick the diverter door that makes the A/C blow threw the vents? 04 F-250 CCSRW. The truck is only used to pull the trailer and sits in storage most of the time. I don't relish the thought of having to tear the dash apart to fix it.

You probably have a vacumn line unplugged or one with a split in it. Check all vacumn lines before doing anything rash as it is most likely the culprit. It happened on my 05 recently, took 2 minutes to find it under the hood. The one unplugged on mine was on the passenger side up near the cab, guess who had knocked it off?

Check your vacuum lines first. next gently try to assist the vacuum motor by pressing on the lever arm that opens the damper door. Too much force and you can ruin the linkage.

Check on the passenger side of the engine compartment, mounted to the fender is a electric vacuum pump. They burn out if kept running continuously (vacuum leak).

Also. Somewhere under the dash. You can probably get to it without tearing the dash apart. There is a spider looking acuator with the vacuum hoses attached to it. Somethims it goes bad, or the hoses come loose from it.

I knocked off the vacuum line just above the oil fill cap on mine. It would only blow through the defrost vents. When standing at the front of the truck, look just above and behind the fill cap.
