I have read this thread and the previous one related to this incident with interest. I have concluded that there is a little more to the story than we are being told. There have been some references to aftermarket equipment installed. Apparently, there was some foreign material in the transmission causing a problem that was not covered under warranty, and the OP believed it should have been. Perhaps the installation of the aftermarket equipment contaminated the transmission, a possibility the OP does not want to address.

If I had to guess, and I bet the OP slams me with anger, the truck is owned by a young guy who has altered it significantly, causing a part to fail and concerning the manufacturer enough about future failures, they have restricted the balance of the warranty.

I am not so sure that the OP has a valid point, and I believe that the manufacturer may well be prudent.
