This is what Harvick said that made Edwards angry:

"I know that his fans won't be very proud of him sitting back there riding around like a pansy," Harvick said. "If he had been racing all day, maybe he would have known how long the front of his car was."

Harvick's statement makes no sense. Recently, Jimmie Johnson, AND Tony Stewart, utilized the same strategy, and it worked for them.
Harvick is WRONG in including the strategy as part of Edward's driving error. However, we all know that drivers say things, and they do things, which they regret later. Carl screwed up on the track, and followed it up with screwing up in the garage. He's young, and he's learning. Harvick's been around longer, and I've seen him screw up many times. He's got a big mouth, and I've yet to see him land a punch. The talking part doesn't impress me a bit.
IMO Carl will prove that he's a better driver, than Harvick. We'll have to wait and see. The rivalry will make the racing more exciting, for MY entertainment....

Can't have it both ways. Why would NASCAR manufacture drama and then not let the photos out...? Kinda useless drama if it gets no press isn't t?

First of all, let me tell you folks that I like Carl Edwards. However, having a bunch of muscles has absolutely nothing to do with being able to fist fight. Usually guys that grow up in a neighborhood where you have to fight on a regular basis are better fighters than guys that have little experience in settling disputes with their fist. Furthermore, there is also a great deal of importance in knowing how to throw a punch and making it land in the right spot. Many times I've seen professional boxers with very undefined bodies knock the living daylights out of their opponent that was built like a Greek God. "Terrible" Tim Witherspoon a Heavy Weight back in the day from Philly, used to regurally knock out these big muscled opponents. Leverage, speed, and the snap at the end of the punch is what really counts when you hit a vulnerable area. Another old boxer, Danny "Little Red" Lopez, looked like he didn't have much in the muscle dept. and once Danny got knocked down, he would get back off the canvas and literally destroy his opponent with his skinny undefined arms. My wife and I have gone to more championship boxing matches and at one time we knew every boxer in the Kronk Gym in Detroit and they all knew us as we would attend all the pre-fight parties and we even named our son after Tommy "Hit Man" Hearns. Oddly enough, our Tommy is built almost exactly like Tommy Hearns. He is long and lanky 6'0" 147 lbs, and not an ounce of fat on him and he'll fight at the drop of a hat. Part of his exercise routine is doing 300-400 push-ups/day. His two best friends are both ranked in the top five as college wrestlers and he spent his adult life fighting with them. If you saw my son in his clothes, you would think he wouldn't be much to push aside, I would would strongly advise against that! Cousin Carl may be a tuffie, but someday he may just grab hold of the wrong guy that is having a bad day! Chuck/Bagman.

These guys are NOT professional boxers. They've invested too much time and talent into succeeding in their chosen profession. They are professional racecar drivers. Based on my observations, as a NASCAR fan, all of them are very careful not to get hurt in event of a physical altercation. I'm sure that most of the top drivers could train and train and train, for many years, and become fairly good boxers.
I tune in to watch the racing, and to judge their driving talent, NOT their boxing skills. Heck, even NASCAR decided that the Harvick vs Edward incident was a "non event". And, I agree.
Both of them raced clean in last night's Nationwide event,......(the one that Kyle Busch DOMINATED).

Well I guess you're right as I saw a couple of the photos over the weekend...I was truly surprised as I figured that the Grand Poo-Bah of Nascar would not like the idea of anything that shows the participants in anything but lockstep or in a bad light. I stand corrected.....
