I have a table that is attached to the wall by 2 metal type hooks that fit into metal slots on the wall. When driving the metal on metal squeak drives my wife crazy, therefore driving me crazy (a very short drive at times). You get the picture, anybody have any great ideas. Please, help while I still have my sanity.

If no one is sitting at the table while in transit, can you take the table off?

Let down table, and bend out the 2 parts of the bracket that are screwed to end of table, make sure they are even, then re attach it back into the wall bracket it should be a tight fit, if the parts have worn, then for a few dollars you could replace them

Is there some way you could put something between the metal parts like tape, etc., or possibly some type of lubricant? The coach door on my class squeaked like crazy when I first bought it and I found that dry graphite lubricant applied to the dead bolt area helped a lot. Good luck.

Been there, done that, know what you are going through...
Instead of trying to bend the hooks, I think you'll find that the hooks and pockets (or whatever the technical term for them is) are quite cheap at an ATV parts store--replacing them as a set will probably have tremendous impact on your problem.
Another trick is to put pieces of foam weatherstripping on the wall right where the raised table will sit when raised (in other words, running between the hook pocket brackets).

Try a piece of the padded shelf liner wedged into the brackets as they're hooked up. Worked for us.

I had the same problem, and bending the brackets didn't help
(they just bent out of shape again)
I bought a set of doorstop wedges at the dollar store.
Inserted 2 of them between the wall and the table
..that solved the problem.
