We just purchased a 1998 25' Coachman E350 with a V10. We will be towing an aluminum boat around 2200 pounds, but were wondering what other people tow. Do any tow a car and if so, do you tow it flat, on a dolly, or on a trailer? We have a little PT convertable that we thought about taking with us on some trips where we will be taking the Class C and not the larger TT when we won't have the boat. Just curious. I don't see many Class C's towing a car.

We tow a 10' pace arrow motorcycle trailer with a Suzuki in it. The only time we ever have trouble is when we have to back it up around a tight corner. DH says we've done 10k miles and we haven't had any trouble.

When I tow, I tow my compact pickup, flat. Most of the time I don't tow. Depends on whether I'm going to be on the move, and want the C to be more mobile, or if I'm going somewhere to park it for a long time, and would rather drive something else.

You see fewer C's towing than large A's, because often they are being used differently.

2006 Saturn Vue flat. I don't think that you can tow a PT cruiser flat.

That actually is why we bought the C so that we could just go for short little trips with the boat. For long outings where we visit friends, sightsee and just flip a coin where we go next, we have the Cougar TT and the F250. The problem is we LOVE the C and are now thinking more of how to travel with it more than the Bigger Trailer. LOL

See My Signature.

Same chassis as you. The car weighs 2100 pounds. We do not have secondary braking for the car.

For any of you that tow using a Tow Dolly, what has to be done to the vehicle if it is an automatic front wheel drive. Is a Tow Dolly an acceptable means to carry your toad and how much hassle would a Dolly be? SOOOOOO many questions. LOL
