I currently have a Fleetwood E3 pop-up. With a new baby here now the wife and I decided to look in to a Toyhauler. We went to the Pomona RV Show yesterday and looked at every Toyhauler at the show. The three that we liked are the Eclipse Attitude models; T23FSAG, TL23LFS, TL26LFS; the Fleetwood Nitrous models; 230FSX and 260FSX; and last the Forest River Sandstorm models; T23FBSPL and T26FBSPL. I definitely want a front sleeper and fiber glass siding.

Is there anything that I should be aware of with these models? I like the Eclipse and Fleetwood better because they use aluminum framing and a bonded construction. The wife liked the interior of the Attitude the best.

And what should I expect to get off MSRP? The prices at the show seemed a little high from what I have seen online. Does the 25% off MSRP rule of thumb apply? With the current market could I negotiate a better deal say 30% off? Are the prices at the show negotiable? I would think they are.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks guys and gals!

I bought one at a show and they would not come off the price any, but they also gave me a good trade in price on my old one. I am sure they still made plenty of money off me. Good luck with yours.

Start at MSRP - 40% + 10%, (Don't cheat and go to 30%, do the math both ways), but shot for the - 30 + 10...

My vote is: 1 Attitude, 2 Sandstorm, Shockwave, Stealth, 3 Fleetwood.

On Edit,
above is to calculate your Out the Door price, much better way to go.. So your $37K TH would be 37K - 14.8K + 2.22K = 24.22K Crazy, yes.. But hey, it's your dime.. 30% works out to 37K - 11.1K + 2.59K = 28.49K or about $8,500 less than MSRP, OTD.. Now get to work...

Thanks for the advice. Does any one know where I can get MSRP or where I could "build and price" a toyhauler?

Any reason why you pick the Sttitude first and the Fleetwood last?

Thanks for your help!

Fleetwoods seem real cheesy.. Not a fan...

Not a big Eclipse fan either, but they seem to be picking up where WW fell down..

I read somewhere that RVs have a 50+-% markup so I would start around 40% and see where that takes you. I would walk away from any deal that was less than 20% off but that is just my opinion. Right now the RV industry is begging for business so use that to your advantage.

Thanks for all the info. I still can't find a website where I can build and price out an Eclipse or Fleetwood trailer. I'll keep looking.

Anyone know of any reputable dealers in SoCal that sell the Eclipse/Attitude line? Fleetwood? I purchased our pop-up from Carl's and I don't like how they sell you an extended warranty and when you need something fixed they say sorry, we don't work on any of the appliances, go down the street. Just my experience.
