Hi all--wanted to share my experience with using OxiClean powder in my black and gray tanks. I have used this product alone for the past few months and have found it to answer all my needs. We have had no smell all Summer long and when we dump, the black tank is super clean. No residue and very little or no rinsing needed. What do you all think?

I just started using it, and it is working better than anything else that I have tried. It is clearing the sensors in my black water tank.

Do you dissolve it in hot water and add several gallons of water to the tank like the geo method with the Calgon water softener? Thanks ann

Sounds like you are encouraging aerobic decomposition with all the oxygen. Anaerobic and anoxic decomposition are both stinky.

How much are you using and how are you mixing it, or are you dumping the powder in directly?

Have you "Tinkled" today?

Have been looking at the container of Oxi-Clean that the DW uses in the laundry and around the house...I figured it had to do good in the tank as well but....whenever I use it I can't stop thinking of that annoying.....

Yes, please share how you use it. Sounds like a possibility. Would love to get away from the toxic chemicals that cost so much.
