Hi, I couldn't find the info I need. I will have to park my rv on an incline of about 20-25 degrees for 3-4 days. if i shut the refrigerator off will that be ok or will the refrigerant leak out? i have a 1992 model class c domitec?? that runs on either lp or electric.
i couldn't find any info in my search of the forum.
thanks chuck

If it is off angle is a non issue. It is a sealed system like in any frig.

When I have to park on an incline I shut the fridge off well beforehand so the evaporative cycle has quit. I give it an hour or so....don't know if I'm being prudent or paranoid.
My folks used to keep an RV parked in a pretty steep sloped driveway. No harm done.

Like Gale said, the refrigerant won't leak out just from parking on an off-level surface. However, the fridge won't run well if you have it on WHILE on the off-level surface.
So, if want to turn the fridge back on to have it chilled before leaving on your next trip, you'd be ahead to first park the RV on something more level before starting up the fridge.

While it may not be technically correct I think of running a RV frig parked on a slope of more than a few degrees like running your hot water heater with the tank empty. Angle is not an issue I read when driving because the movement will keep the coolant moving around over the heat source.
We have found by cooling the day before you leave the freezer is a good place to put your milk right before you unplug because even if the frig gets up to 50-60 degrees the milk will be protected much longer. As noted in other threads as well if the frig is full cold and all the times in is as well it will hold for a long time depending on the outside temps. A gallon jug frozen solid offers some help if placed on the frig or freezer.

Here is some information from another site:
It is important to keep an RV refrigerator level during operation to avoid irreparable damage. This is especially important in older units... pre 1986 or so. For newer refrigerators it's only necessary to keep it reasonably level... if your motor home, travel trailer or fifth wheel is comfortable then the refrigerator is likely level enough. Before you use your refrigerator for the first time place a small bubble level on a refrigerator shelf. Adjust the the level of your RV until the refrigerator is level. Then find a countertop or some other place on the RV that also reads level. This will be your reference from now on. If you keep the level in the frig and you open the door several times to check for level the refrigerator can take an hour or more to recover.

I have been doint it for years, in several MHs. Just turn it off 1/2 hour before parking it there and you are good to go.
