We just bought a 1997 Holiday Rambler travel trailer & set it up when we got home, & my husband decided to try letting the jacks in back down & the left one won't go down. They are a heavy duty 12v tounge jack. He has ben checking everything he could think of, but no luck. Does anyone have any advice for us.
Thanks, Sanmoose

get a voltmeter and see if you have 12vdc at the motor. yes? the motor or switch is bad. can you mechanicaly mover it, ie, with a socket? yes? look at the motor, no? replace the jack, the gear box is shot. start lookin at fuses. do the other jacks work? if no, check the battery, yes, go back to the top.

Haven't seen one of those, but maybe if you could run a 12v source of power to the jack (independently) and see if the jack moves, then you'd know the problem is further downstream in the 12v supply of power.

i'm confused.
are you talking about the tongue jack and it's electric?
or the rear stabilizer jacks that you state are in the back? and are they electric?
i've never heard of a 12v tongue jack on the back of a trailer.
