We have been planning this trip all winter (coming from KY)in a 32 ft moter home towing car and meetng up with cousins from MI. We are taking I-40 out of Tn. we are stopping along the way overnight until we get to Yellowstone. I have researched quite a bit and since my daughter and her fiance are flying in to meet us when we get there, we are looking at staying at a campground with cabins or motel. Has anyone ever stayed at Canyon Motel and Rv Park? My daughter was looking at staying in one of their "Railroad Cars". Any suggestions of campgrounds along I-40 would be helpful. I guess we should make reservations.

I will be staying at the KOA in a Kabin there in late June of this year. It was a decently priced option.

Make life easy and stay at Trailer Village (we did), right in the park and on the bus line. Park isn't the greatest, but is adequate, besides you are there to see the sights and not spend time traveling to and from the park.

Grand Canyon in August would be a little HOT for my enjoyment! Yellowstone would be a much better choice.
